Veteran of the Month Program
Ridge Quilters' Guild, would like to announce a new program as a component of their Community Service outreach to the Ridge. They would like to coordinate with the Ridge Area civic service groups who will nominate a Veteran to be selected as the “Veteran of the Month”. The Ridge Quilter’s Guild will present the Veteran with a patriotic quilt as a gift. Presentations of the Quilt can be done at the monthly Ridge Quilter’s Guild General Meeting for their presentation OR the Veteran can be awarded the quilt at their civic service group meeting. To be eligible, the person nominated must be an honorably discharged member of one of the U.S. Military branches (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines or Navy). While there is a National Quilt of Valor program. This program is not affiliated with that program. This is a local Ridge area program that would like to honor and thank those that have served in the Armed Services. We want to thank the individuals for their sacrifice and service.
